Chloe Harris with David's 383 SBC Swapped Datsun 280Z

It's hard to believe that it has been two and a half years since we last did a photoshoot with Chloe Harris. You may remember her last feature: 3 Boosted Z06's Equals 2000 Plus Horsepower. In the time between, we have discussed shooting with Chloe on multiple occasions and were even lucky enough to have her join us at one of the No Fly Zone Midwest Half Mile Events. Yet, we just never seemed to put all of the pieces together until this Fall. As things started coming together, we knew the perfect car for Chloe to work with... David Robinson's Small Block Chevy swapped 1976 Datsun 280z!

David found his Datsun 6 years ago in Milwaukee, WI. When he picked it up the car had only 48k miles on it and had every service record with it since the time it was new! He enjoyed it for about 2 years in stock form, with just a few minor suspension upgrades. David had begun planning on doing a basic Chevy 350 swap into the car but by the time he finally decided to pull the motor be convinced himself to go big! He contacted the guys at Fast Times Motorworks and ended up having them build him a 383 SBC motor with forged internals and a solid roller cam. It took David another 2 plus years to get the motor swapped in and iron out all of the bugs that come along with a swap like this. Once it was completed, the Datsun put down a respectable 460rwhp and 440rwtq.

After being able to enjoy the car for an entire season, he spent some time working on the appearance over the last year. He began by stripping the 280Z down and doing some bodywork. Once he got it all prepped, he sent the car over to D.TWO Industries for a complete vinyl wrap. David also worked out a sponsorship agreement with the crew over at Nitrous Express to be able to add one of the nitrous kits to the forged 383. The addition of nitrous has helped the Z crack off a 10.5 second quarter mile at 140mph!

Now lets get back to our girl Chloe! Two years ago this beautiful 21 year old joined her friend Angela Angelovska for our photoshoot with the ShockerRacing Boosted Z06's and the photos turned out amazing. It was easy to see that Chloe was a natural in front of the camera. The 5'9" Blonde is super easy to work with and is immediately comfortable in front of the camera. We found a dead end street near O'Hare airport to provide the perfect location that allowed us plenty of space to work without distractions. It was also secluded enough to have some fun doing donuts and burnouts in the Datsun!

Ms. Harris tells us that she got into the car scene because of her friends, but since she has met the ShockerRacing crew she has really started to appreciate the car scene even more. She joined us last year out at the Omega Motorsport NoFlyZone Midwest and was able to ride with a few of our members down the half mile. Chloe currently works as a Nanny, but would love to do more promotional modeling so be sure to contact her if you are looking for models for your events or automotive photoshoots in the Chicago/Indiana area. She currently lives in Indiana, and moved all over the state growing up with a military dad. Chloe enjoys visiting Chicago as much as possible and is interested in doing more photoshoots.
